Ek Pehel Swasthya Ki Aur

4 Health and Hygiene corners have been set up till now at schools based in Chayyan Village, Rajasthan, Nimuch, Madhya Pradesh, Gaya, Bihar and Satara, Maharashtra. IEC Posters, leaflets and Booklets on Nutrition, Anemia, and the importance of health & hygiene are displayed at this corner. Different tools for the self-assessment of Anemia and Body Mass Index were also made available at this corner. Schools are also supported with Sanitary Napkin Vending machine and Foot Operated Hand Wash unit to improve sanitary practices by school children. Selected teachers, local ICDS workers and Health post personnel are trained in adolescent health and nominated as Health Ambassadors for the school. These Health Ambassadors work as the point of contact for the health services and support required by the school children. 37 Health ambassadors have been developed so far under this project. Total 678 school children have benefitted through this Initiative till June 2022.

Bharatpeh Foundation is implementing the Project Aarogyasampanna in the slums of Mumbai. The objective of the program is to reduce malnutrition in children and to raise awareness about preventive health. 1000 children from this location are being covered every year through this program. Niramaya team working on this project not only focus on the treatment of malnourished children but also put extra efforts to improve their daily dietary practices. The project has resulted into 80% improvement in nutritional status of malnourished children.

Bharatpeh Foundation is implementing SEHAT - Health and Hygiene Education Program in Mumbai slums. The project has benefitted 41800 community people till June 2022. The project focusses on creating Health awareness and supporting people to adapt appropriate health and hygiene practices and lead healthy and active Lifestyle. The project has been implemented covering 7 slum regions till now. i.e. Marol Pipeline, Andheri East and Gilbert Hills slums, Andheri West, Meghwadi, Jogeshwari east, Annabhau Sathe Nagar and Maharashtra Nagar, Mankhurd, Jaybhim Nagar and Panther Nagar, Vikhroli East, Bharat Nagar, Trombay, Siddhartha Nagar, Worli. Behaviour change campaigns are organized under this program through One to one and group health education sessions. Mass awareness events are organized during selected health marker days i.e. World Breastfeeding week, National Nutrition month etc. Health Education is provided on following 7 thematic areas:
